We Went To Austin and All We Got Was This Audience Award

Hello and happy Friday!

Hope you had an incredible spooky season and are deep in your preparations for winter hibernation - We mean celebration.

We have finally recovered from our five days at the Austin Film Festival. This is what 30 is like people, taking over two weeks to recover from a five day trip. We had an absolutely incredible time attending the festival and being in Austin with all of the other people who made Barden and Sarah come to life.

The craziest part of the whole trip was seeing the first episode of the show on a big screen surrounded by friends, family, fellow filmmakers, and even just some strangers from off the street! There is nothing like hearing laughs from a live audience watching your show. It was an incredibly proud moment as executive producers and also as friends as our creator Tyler went up on stage after for a Q&A with the other filmmakers present.

This was the last evening we were at the festival and it wrapped the whole trip up on such a high.

We know you’ve all been curious about the award situation. Probably sitting there on pins and needles waiting for us to get back and write you this glorious follow up newsletter.

Well, we can now let you know that while we did not win the Jury Award (sad) we did win the coveted Audience Award!!

At the end of every screening, volunteers of the festival passed out scorecards for the audience to rank each film or short they saw, and we were ranked highest amongst Produced Digital Series.

That’s right, we got the popular vote.

We truly can’t believe it and we’re so happy for everyone who came out to see the show in Austin and everyone who has been supporting us through this whole process since last summer. Barden & Sarah 4ever bb!!!

And now a truly exciting update: Barden and Sarah has a release date!!!!

Mark your calendars for December 6th - Barden and Sarah Start A Pandemic is coming to YouTube.

We CANNOT wait to finally show the entire show to the whole world. From development, to production, to post, this show has kept us laughing and we know laughter is something that is desperately needed in this world. So go subscribe to Barden and Sarah Start a Pandemic on YouTube to watch the first episode as soon as it drops.

Thank you so much again for your support, for reading this newsletter, and for always believing in us!

Xoxo
